Accordions

I encountered a woman in Victorian costume on Eastbourne’s Western Lawns. She was carrying what I thought was a piano accordion. On closer observation it was in fact a patent leather handbag. I subsequently made two paintings of piano accordions, the one on the left is based on her handbag.
